As a Scout parent it can sometimes be hard to fully understand all the information the adult leaders give you. Sometimes you may need information at a time when no leaders are available. Sometimes a parent may just want more detail for better understanding. If that's the case, then this page is for you. Compiled here are answers to some of our most frequently asked questions, and warnings about some of the worst equipment purchase mistakes we see parents making.


Be smart. Before you buy any camping equipment... please, please, please consult your Scoutmaster. Remember, your Scout won't care that you saved $2 when the leaking tent or ill-fitting backpack ruined his entire weekend. Keep your receipts, because we reserve the right to send you back to buy the correct equipment.
